Jan's real estate related experience began professionally and full-time in 1972 in the construction industry, as an administrator. For six years (1979 to 1985) she worked in the title insurance industry, then for an escrow company and later as a lender. In 1992 she got her real estate sales license and began negotiating, marketing, selling and closing escrows. Sales experience includes residential, commercial, residential income, 1031 tax deferred exchanges, mixed use properties, office condominiums and vacant land. She was the first REALTOR to sell her own listing over the internet. Jan served as the President of the Orange County Association of REALTORS (over 10,000 members) in 2003 and was a Director for the California Association of REALTORS for a number of years.
